The V Model is a framework used in software development that illustrates the relationship between each phase of development and its corresponding testing phase. It is often visualized as a V-shape, where the left side represents the development phases and the right side represents the testing phases.
The purpose of the V Model is to ensure that each stage of development is matched with a corresponding testing phase. This approach helps identify and fix defects early in the development process, improving the quality of the final product.
In the V Model, development and testing activities are performed in parallel. For each phase of development, there is a corresponding phase of testing. The process begins with requirements analysis and progresses through design, development, and ends with testing and deployment. Each development phase is linked to a specific testing phase, ensuring that the product is continuously verified and validated.
The V Model is a structured approach to software development that integrates development and testing phases. It ensures that each stage of development is thoroughly tested, leading to early defect detection, improved quality, and a clearer development process.
